Q: How do I go about using the menu javascripts feature and javascript popup on the same HTML page? I'm getting a Java Error.

A: 1) Notice that you should call dmWorkPath parameter and dmenu.js file only once on yourhtml page.

2) When you have several menus on the same page they have different menuInd (0,1,2,3...)
For example you have:

<script type="text/javascript" src="data.js"></script> //standard menu menuInd=0
...
<script type="text/javascript" src="popup-data.js"></script> //popup menu menuInd=1

You should call your popup in the following way:

or

Q: My site requires me to regularly update the drop down menu by inserting a new item at the top of the list.


A: Add items using the following function:

function dm_ext_addItemPos (menuInd, submenuInd, iParams, Pos)

Adds the new item to a submenu.

menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.

iParams = [array] - the array of item parameters.
This parameter has the same structure as an item in menuItems array.
You can assign parameters of another existent item of the menu
(for example, when you want to create a duplicate of the existent item) or create new ones.

Structure of iParams:
[item_text, link, icon_normal, icon_over, tip, target, individual_style_index, jsFilename]
Pos - the position in the menu where you want to add new item.

Q: Is it possible for a javascript navigation barr item to have an associated "target"?

What I mean is I'd like to be able to open the page in a new window, so I'd need to specify the href as well as "target=_new" (in HTML anyway).

A: You can set target parameter for all items:
  var itemTarget="_blank";

Where main - is the name of the main middle frame where you want to open the link.

or for each item individually:
["Home","testlink.html", "", "", "", "_blank", "", "", "", "", "", ],



Q: I have to pass dynamic value from the link when the user click the mouseover menu.

A: Actually you can use your own Javascript code instead standard links. For example:
