  • Use special Java Script methods for: Dynamic changing of items (link, text, icons, arrows and even individual style!). Addition/removing of items or submenus. Disabling and enabling menu items. Getting the info on every submenu, menu, and items. Changing appearance of items. Other coding tricks.
  • Cross-frame mode lets you to construct full-featured dhtml menus on the pages with frames. But for all that frame set it's not necessary to insert any additional code into all the pages - just specify several extra menu parameters.

Q: Using the example menu you have, how do i make the sub-menu for the 'Sample' menu item a multi-column and leave the 'Product Info' menu item as is.
I only want certain sub-menus to have multi-columns. I don't want all menu items to have a multi-column sub.

A: Please, see the attached example.
You should use individual styles.

  var menuStyles = [
    ["smColumns=2"],
    ["smColumns=1"], //style 1
];

...
   ["More Samples","testlink.htm"],
      ["|Group 1","", , , , , "3", "1", , ], //assign style 1

Try that.

Q: Can I use drop down navigation menu using subfolders? I am trying to build amenu system but the website contains a lot of subfolders.

A: Yes, you can use deluxe-menu on the site with a lot of subfolders.

You can use additional parameters to make menu paths absolute:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";
These parameters allow to make images and links paths absolute.
For example:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

  var menuItems = [
["text", "index.html", "icon1.gif", "icon2.gif"],
];

So, link path will be look so:
http://domain.com/pages/index.html

Images paths will be look so:
http://domain.com/images/icon1.gif
http://domain.com/images/icon2.gif

Please, try to use these parameters.

Q: I'm about to create a transparent menu as you can see on the attached photo. I can't find any samples on how to place the cascading navigation bar on an image with 100% opacity. Is it possible...?

  var menuBackColor="transparent";
  var itemBackColor=["transparent","transparent"];
