  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. To view all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automagically scrolled! Q: In my previous email asking about your menu program's ability to display a different color word on a menu item when the site is on that selected page, I made a mistake - I was experimenting with Vista xp1 style, the black/blue shiny dhtml menu templates.


A: The menu has only two states normal and mouseover. We'll try to add the pressed state in the future.

You can set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.


Q: Do I need to generate a html file after I create dhtml menu and than work from that file? Or can I just copy and paste the code into my existing html file?

A: It will be better create dhtml menu in Deluxe Tuner and save your menu as html file. And copy html codefor the menu from this file into your page. You should also copyfolder with all menu file and data file with menu parameters into the same folder with you html page.



Q: I really want the actual dhtml menu bars to be SE Friendly. Is this possible?


A: You should generate search engine friendly code and install it on yourpage.
Deluxe Menu is a search engine friendly menu since v1.12.
To create a search engine friendly menu you should add additional html code within your html page:

To generate such a code use Deluxe Tuner application.

Run Tuner, load your menu and click Tools/Generate SE-friendly Code (F3).

Q: Ich habe ein Problem mit submenus. Es erscheint, dass es eine Grenze auf der Breite eines submenu Punkt undals ein concequence gibt, wenn Sie den Punkt herumdrehen, zwingt es den Kasten, nach rechts zu rollen.
