Q: That worked for the rollover drop down menu but I lost my drop shadow on the main menu. The sub-menus still have it. The preview has the drop shadow but when I view it in IE it is not there.

Q: Is there a way we can add javascript behaviors to the sliding dhtml menu actions?
For example, is there a way we can add an onClick function to a menu item
(eg,onClick="return MyFunction( )" ) so that we can catch and process key events?

A: Unfortunately, you can't assign onmouseover/onClick/onContextMenu event to each item.
However, you can achieve this by using standard html objects within items, for example:

You can use your own Javascript code instead standard links. For example:

  var menuItems = [
["text", "javascript:your_code_here"]
];

Q: Is it possible for a javascript navigation barr item to have an associated "target"?

What I mean is I'd like to be able to open the page in a new window, so I'd need to specify the href as well as "target=_new" (in HTML anyway).

A: You can set target parameter for all items:
  var itemTarget="_blank";

Where main - is the name of the main middle frame where you want to open the link.

or for each item individually:

Q: I have now re-uploaded the data files.
The online dhtml menu works fine in Internet Explorer but, comparing the load time of IE with Firefix, Firefox is considerable faster.
