Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! You can also specify height and width for each separate submenu.
  • Build menus completely based on Cascading Style Sheets. It is possible to appoint the individual CSS styles for separate elements of the menu.

Q: The menu has a problem with newlines. The menu builds correctly (layout ok) but when pressed on the button nothing happens

At some point, in the DHTML menu, we have the following in the javascript:

  var menuitems = [

 ["|Print HTML","javascript:alert('HTML print: Only the 7 most recent orders on the screen \n will be printed because of space limitations on paper.');printResult('4'); ","","", ,"_parent",,] ]

As you can see we have a newline (\n) between the words "screen" and "will". But when we click on the button nothing happens. If we remove the newline and we click on the button then we first get the alert box. After pressing the OK button the function printResult is called.

Is there any way for us to still use the newline character in the menuItems variable?

This can be easily reproducible. That's why I haven't made an example.

Q: Is it possible to have it remember which sub menus were showing
in the table tree view when the new page loads?

A: Deluxe Tree has save state feature. You should set the followingparameter:

Q: I am trying to evaluate the trial version of deluxepopup window.
The script popup works great but I am having a specific requirement of making it amodal window; i.e. when the popup is opened, users shouldn't be allowed to access the main page. Please let me know how to make this happen.

A: Unfortunately it is not possible to create modal window using Deluxe Popup Window.It doesn't have such a feature now.

We'll try to add this feature in the next versions.

Q: I can not figure out how to build tab drop down menus?

A: See in Deluxe Tabs there are two modes:

You can create only one level of tabs and assign Object Id's of the
DIV's to show when you click on the tab.
