  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. Q: I think that your product is great makes everything look nice and professional with the drop down menu Items. My question is I have certain menu Items that I will need to disable at certain times. I do this now using a standard button and grabbing my parameters from an SQL database. Is there a way for me to basically pull which menu items I need disabled and present the customized menu for each client. I have read that your product has this ability I was looking for a little guidance or maybee a write up on someone that has done this.


A: Unfortunately, Deluxe Menu doesn't have such a feature.
You should write your own code, for example, on PHP.

You can try to use the following function

function disable() {

}
to disable your items.

Q: If I don't set   var tabMode=1 instead of   var tabMode=0 in drop menu maker the links will not work at all.

A: See in Deluxe Tabs there are two modes:
1.   var tabMode=0;
You can create only one level of tabs and assign Object Id's of theDIV's to show when you click on the tab.

You can use Object ID as well as Link in both modes. Use the following prefixes within item's link field:
"object:" - means that there is object id after it;
"link:" - means that there is a link after it.
"javascript:" - means that there is a javascript code after it, for example:javascript:alert(\'Hello!\')

So, you should write for example:

Q: Now I experiences a problem with the Danish letters in dhtml menue.
I have changed the letters in the scriptfile - but this does not work.
Have we a problem with Danish letters?

A: Please, check that you've set "Tools/Use utf8 encode".

Notice that you should have UTF8 charset on your page too:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html" charset="UTF-8">

You can also use another charset on your html page and open your data file in text editor,
enter thissymbols and save data file in the way you save your html page.

Notice that you should turn off "Tools/Use utf8 encode" setting in
order to open your data file correctly in Deluxe Tuner.



Q: I\'m testing out your menu system and I have a question regarding one of our current menu item\'s functionality.

Currently, I have a menu item that performs an onclick window.open function so that it opens a popup window at a certain size and with certain parameters.
Is it possible to have similar functionality with an item on your menu system?


A: You should use a Javascript code with a link field so:
