  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! Q: I'm trying out the cross-browser (top to bottom) drop down menu and I was wondering if it was possible to have the top bar (the main items) use a background image while the sub-items beneath used a plain background color and no image?

So far I've gotten them to either both use a background image, or both use a background color. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)

A: Actually you can create any menu you like with Deluxe Menu.

You can use Individual Styles to set background image for the items

Q: I am testing your image based vertical menu. I am happy with it and about to buy the muti-site license if you can help me with one problem.

The menu looks different in IE compared to Firefox. In IE it is much smaller.


A: Try to specify units in "px":

Q: In addition, as you know commercial websites also have to comply with EU regulations regarding disabilities, and I further believe that the current menu cannot be read by screen readers for blind/partially sighted/disabled users. Could you please confirm if this is the case, or if the java pull down menu can in fact be read by screen readers?

A: Deluxe java pull down menu is 508 compliant, but we don't have the certificate at this moment.



Q: I used the glass template to create my menu.... but I needed to add additional tabs, and my additional tabs do not look like the rest of the net dropdown menu tabs... its like the end-caps on the images are not there and I don’t find any clear instruction on how to get my added tabs to look like the existing ones.

A: You should assign Individual styles for the new items. You can findthis info in the Templates window.
