  • Build right-click menus for your site. For this purpose you should appoint a peculiar method for the object you want. The current X,Y of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the context menu.
  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. To view all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automagically scrolled! Q: We want the javascript dhtml drop down menu which have sub menu to have a arrow, so that the visitor know that they have to cliek there. We have put in arrow on the tab which are having drop downs, but on mouse over to the single javascript dhtml drop down menu also it is showing the arrow and another problem is that when the drop down is used then there after the arrow is no more visible.

A: You can create Individual XP Style and use it for items with submenus:

Q: Is there a way to have the menu stay expanded in the same exact state when
I click on a menu item of the javascript tree view and go to a new page?

A: There is no need to write additional code on a server side to remember what items were expanded/collapsed.
DHTML Tree Menu can save items state automatically.

Set the following parameter:

  var tsaveState = 1;

and the menu remembers its structure for each user who visit your page.
Try to expand/collapse items. Then reload the page and you'll see results.


Q: Can you explain website drop down menu creation and implement in html files?

A: Unfortunately we don't have step by step tutorial yet.
We'll try to create it in the nearest time.

1. Create your menu in Deluxe Tuner.

When you open Deluxe Tuner you can click "File/New" and add items and subitems
using buttons "Add Item" and "Add Subitem" on the main window.
You should set items and subitems parameters on the "Item Parameters" window.

2. You should install the menu on your page.
You can click, for example, File/Export to HTML.

So, you'll have folder with all engine files and images
("deluxe-menu.files/" folder by default), deluxe-menu.html file and
data-deluxe-menu.js file with all menu parameters.

Open deluxe-menu.html file in any text editor and copy several rows of
code into your page (for example index.html page of your website).

Copy and paste several rows into your html page (index.html).

Q: Do you have a menu that allows the sub-items to 'slide' out from the menu?
For example, you mouse-over the first button, and the sub menu slides from 'underneath' the button from left to right?


A: You should to use transitional effects.

Try to set

But notice that transitional effects are features of Internet Explorer5.5+ only.
